It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Vincent Lionti, a member of the MET Orchestra and The New Baroque Soloists, due to COVID-19. Vinnie was a fantastic musician and an exceptionally warm and enthusiastic human being. Ironically we had to cancel the concert of The New Baroque Soloists at the RCMS on April 5 due to the coronavirus. We will mourn and miss Vinnie.

Back by our audience’s demand after their very successful performance in 2017 we will again welcome the
THE NEW BAROQUE SOLOISTS
with a program of their own transcriptions of works by Bach, Marcello, Telemann, Haydn and Leopold Mozart. Among others you will hear Bach’s famous Fugue in g minor, BWV 578 played on the historic Roosevelt organ; the beautiful adagio from the Marcello oboe concerto; a piece called Cassatio by Haydn (it is an outdoor piece rarely played) and is, near as we can tell, a US premier!!
