Leslie Bender, a Hudson Valley resident, creates narrative,
magical paintings of places where people play, at her studio
in Kingston, NY.
She first began drawing musicians and orchestras when she used to accompany her parents to concerts.
She has drawn hundreds of quartets for the Manhattan String
Quartet’s amateur summer program over many years.
Leslie has shown in many galleries and museums in the region,
and her work is in the permanent collection of the Museum
of Modern Art.
