The Extraordinary Life of Teresa Carreño

"I am Carreño” will conclude our Spring season. This program will shed light on the extraordinary life of Venezuelan musician Teresa Carreño. She was a child prodigy, pianist, composer, singer and conductor.

 

The program presents some rare unpublished songs by Teresa Carreño as well as music of friends and contemporaries of hers put into context by reading of letters, diary entries and concert critics of her time.

Come and experience this unusual program in an even more unusual venue: off-nine theater.   This private theater with a rich history of performances was made available to the RCMS for this special event. Don’t miss this musical treat.
